182. Whitworth mechanism with Pendulums || Free download 3D model

This model is made by Constantin STANCESCU THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!

Original project made with Autodesk Inventor 2014 as a Dynamic Simulation. Besides the gravity force, the action is due to a imposed motion applied to the Crank - 4 rot/min (240 deg/s). The simulation does not include any friction.

The Whitworth mechanism is special because, during one entire rotation of the driven Lever, one half is more speedy from the other. This is obvious if you look to Video.

While the crank is rotating uniformly the pendulums are rotating by abiding the dynamics laws. The Output Grapher.jpg presents the peripheral speeds of the two pendulums, with a maximum of 4500 mm/s = 4.5 m/s = 16.2 km/h.
